Krampbell Discovery Kit is a desktop application for working with litigation production files. This policy covers the application and this website.
The short version
The application collects nothing. It has no account system, no analytics, no telemetry, no crash reporting, and no advertising. It does not transmit your files or any information about them anywhere, because it has nowhere to send them: the app performs all of its work on your device and makes no network connections.
What the application does with your files
Files you open — loadfiles, image lists, document images, and exports you create — are read from and written to your device only. Preferences (such as your theme and encoding choice) and your most recent session data are stored locally on your device. None of it is uploaded, synced, or backed up by us, and uninstalling the application leaves your files where they are.
When you buy a license
- App Store / Microsoft Store purchases are processed entirely by Apple or Microsoft. We never see your payment details, and we do not receive your account credentials.
- Direct purchases (a license key bought outside an app store) are processed by our merchant of record, who handles the payment. We receive your email address and the license record associated with your purchase so that we can deliver your key and support it. The application itself never contacts a license server — a purchased key is verified offline, on your device.
If you ask us for help
Support happens over email. If you send us files, logs, or a diagnostic bundle to reproduce a problem, we use them to fix the problem and do not publish, sell, or use them for anything else. Sending a diagnostic bundle is always something you choose to do — the application does not send anything on its own.
The website
This website does not use advertising or tracking cookies, and it runs no analytics. Our web host necessarily processes standard request data (such as IP address and user-agent) in server logs for security and operations; it is not used to profile visitors.
Children
The application is a professional tool and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children, through the application.
Your choices
Because the application stores your preferences and session data on your device, you can erase all of it at any time by removing the application's data on your device. To have your purchase record or support correspondence deleted, email us and we will action it, subject to the accounting records our merchant of record must keep and any applicable local, state or federal laws.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted at this URL with a new effective date.
